Learn about some of the career options and what to focus on while you participate in flight training programs.
Private Jets
Through flight training, you can put an emphasis on learning how to man and operate a private jet. Private jets feature some of the same flight mechanisms as a large commercial plane, but on a much smaller scale. You will learn how to operate the smaller plane and can find yourself seeking out some unique job opportunities.
For example, if a wealthy person owns a private jet, you can become their personal pilot. As the pilot, you would plan out trips, arrange airport landings, and fly the same jet all around the country. Another option is to seek employment through a private jet company. You would have rotating clients who charter private jet flights for specific needs.
The more you train, the more you will learn about different jets and expand your experience flying the aircraft options.
Hollywood Stunt Pilot
When you think of a Hollywood stunt pilot, you probably visualize planes flying through the air, doing loops and other impressive tricks. A real-life stunt pilot is far different. The pilot would be used anytime a Hollywood production needed specific plane scenes.
Characters may fly on planes, the shot may call for smaller planes to fly over certain areas. Essentially, your job would be to go along a specific path and fly planes when Hollywood CG and effects are not enough. You could end up traveling across the globe to fly different planes in various locations.
Flight Teacher
If you love the process of flight training and teaching others to fly, then you may consider becoming a flight teacher yourself. The flight teacher position wouldn't come right after you finish training but is a career path to look forward to after you've had some experience flying outside of the school.
As you learn, you can build connections with instructors, find out the path that led them to flight instruction, and then follow a similar path to seek out the same career. Along with traditional flight programs, you can look into more advanced programs or different opportunities all around the globe.
